What we are looking for -
Our growing Accounting & Banking Services (ABS) team is part of our Exclusive Family Office group that specializes in helping our high-net-worth clients with their personal and entity accounting. We are looking for a motivated staff accountant to join our team to assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and monthly close. This is an opportunity to join a growing department and immediately impact the department’s success.
You will -
- Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable for multiple clients
- Download / Input bank account transactions
- Download / Input credit card transactions
- Reconcile bank, brokerage, and credit card statements
- Prepare and post monthly, quarterly, and annual journal entries
- Research and assist in client-vendor management, including issues and disputes
- Prepare financial statements
- Prepare cash flow and cash management reports
- Prepare budgets and comparison of actual to budget reports
- Manage new account banking documents
- Assist with year-end 1099 filings
- Maintain thorough client data files
- Perform other accounting and finance duties as assigned
We want -
- Someone working toward the CPA or CFP
- 1 - 3 years of professional experience in an accounting or business management environment is preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a related field
- Someone who understands accounting and has strong abilities to post debits and credits and maintain the general ledger
- High Proficiency in Word, and Excel, experience with AgilLink/Datafaction, QuickBooks Online, and Xero preferred but not necessary
- Must be detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy
- Ability to work separately and provide follow-up with the team
- Impeccable ability to maintain confidentiality
- Excellent organizational skills
- A self-starter who is accountable for their work
- Must be a team player who will thrive in a small company environment.
- Ability to consistently meet deadlines
- Ability to set priorities among a variety of tasks
- Excellent oral and written communication skills within a diverse office environment
- Excellent personal and professional references
