Associate Account Manager

As an Associate Account Manager at Samba Scientific, you’ll join a team of bench scientists turned marketers on a mission to help our biotech clients get their technologies out of the lab and into the market where they can positively impact the world. The right candidate will have life science research experience, demonstrated communication skills, and a penchant for the creative.

Responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
- Create and execute customized marketing plans to reach client’s commercial goals
- Work as part of a larger team to develop and execute engaging marketing campaigns for biotech, genomics, and diagnostics companies
- Provide weekly updates to clients and internal stakeholders
- Account Management:
- Collaborate with our clients and their teams, building relationships based on trust, experience, creativity, and the ability to solve problems and execute
- Gain a deep technical and market understanding of client portfolios, customers, and competitors, and teach + guide the internal Samba team to ensure clear communication and experience of the client business
- Manage hourly budgets, using available resources to exceed client expectations
- Digital marketing campaigns
- Direct a team of subject matter experts in building and deploying lead funnels, websites, landing pages, emails, social media posts, etc
- Continuously monitor analytics, recommending next steps to make things perform better, always striving for continuous improvements
- Technical content generation
- Writing and editing technical, educational, and persuasive content across different channels (including print, video, blogs, email, and social media)
- Informational design, creation of data figures, and infographics to convey key points
- Work with a team of writers, creatives, and digital marketing specialists to create a vision and bring it to life.

Skills:
- Ability to effectively communicate technical content to diverse audience types, ie clinicians, PI’s, bench scientists, undergrads, and the general public
- Strong writing abilities, for both short- and long-copy
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, email, or web design tools is a plus
Experience, Education & Training
- 3+ years in research
- Background in the life sciences
- BS/MS/Ph.D. in biology or related life science field
- Solid working knowledge of key concepts and technologies used in experimental and diagnostic applications (ie proteomics, genomics, molecular biology, cell biology.)
