The Associate Director, Regional Operations will support the National Sales Director by partnering cross-functionally with Marketing, Operations, Market Access, Training, Human Resources, and Compliance to further expand the performance of the NSSO team. Additionally, the Associate Director, NSSO Regional Operations will have responsibility for leading and developing up to three Regions to exceed sales goals.Job Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the National Sales Director to establish clear business priorities tied back to the brand strategy and direction of the Vice President, Sales.
- Partner with Marketing and Sales Operations in the customer targeting process and provide feedback as well as suggestions to ensure we’re effectively targeting the right customer segments.
- Provide input and actively participate in geography alignment, incentive compensation, and other sales planning activities as needed.
- Collaborate with the National Sales Director to monitor and influence sales effectiveness across the NSSO Team by working closely with the NSSO RBMs and NSS ASDs.
- Create and promote a learning environment for the team while anticipating and addressing opportunities and/or challenges so that local teams and workgroups effectively collaborate and succeed.
- Ability to lead and influence cross-functionally by modeling and coaching of ethical, effective, and compliant leadership capabilities. Developing people and the organization through long-term commitment to mentoring, day to day coaching, and delivery of timely, actionable feedback. Operating within industry and company compliance standards.
- Lead teams in strategic analysis of their business units, uncovering key opportunities for growth and leveraging limited number of high impact opportunities.
- Manages and utilizes rigorous analytic framework to identify issues and works to consistently incorporate new perspectives and ideas. This will be done in conjunction with the National Sales Director(s), partnering with Area Sales Directors, and working closely with the NSS Regional Business Managers across the Nation.
Job Requirements
- Must have a Bachelor Degree; Masters Degree in business and/or sciences preferred.
- Must have a combination of 10+ years of experience in Market Access, Brand Marketing, and/or pharmaceutical sales.
- Must have 5+ years of 1st line sales leadership.
- Must have at least 1+ years of experience in managing budgets.
- Ability to identify strategies with greatest business impact, formulate an appropriate business plan and engage their teams to execute the plan.
- Must demonstrate leadership, judgement, and communication competencies as outlined in the Sales Career Journey Model
- Thorough understanding of customer segments and area market dynamics within all therapeutic areas; highly preferred CNS background.
- Highly proficient communication skills both written and oral.
- Must be willing to travel up to 50% of the time or as needed by the Company.
- Must be able to perform all essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Associate Director, Regional Operations Base Salary range $168K - $252K
