Job Description
Seeking Assisted Living Director to be responsible for creating and maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction, staff interactions and resident care. The ideal candidate will have detailed knowledge of regulatory requirements for compliance in a CBRF, experience in developing detailed and appropriate resident assessments and ISPs, and the ability to provide visible, proactive leadership.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide direct oversight, training, and monitoring of staff, delivery of care services and regulatory compliance. Responsible for operating within the approved budget and meeting or exceeding established outcomes. Foster a strong, cohesive team environment that builds confidence and strong morale among the staff and staff retention. Work with partner providers to create a pro-active and collaborative relationship. Build trust with residents and their families through good communication and follow-through. Train, motivate and develop staff to perform at their highest levels. Create a warm, supportive and safe environment for residents with dementia. Be prepared to train staff in the language of dementia, creative interventions, and facilitating meaningful activity programs. Lead the marketing and positioning of the community through personal involvement with professional networking and program development. Clearly communicate the image and brand of the community.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must have excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to creatively problem-solve in both resident care and employee management situations. Individual must be a team player, well organized and flexible.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
3 plus years Assisted Living experience in supervisory/management position
Licensed CBRF Administrator OR Associate degree or higher in a health- related field or Bachelor's degree
Experience working with people with Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia a plus
