Responsibilities
The Forensic Science Program under the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in the Eberly College of Science at The Pennsylvania State University, located at University Park, PA invites applications for an Assistant/Associate Teaching Professor position. The Forensic Science Program offers both undergraduate and graduate (MPS) degrees, is home to a broad range of resident instruction and distance learning offerings and conducts extramurally funded research. We are FEPAC accredited. The Program seeks a dynamic and innovative individual to instruct and develop courses for undergraduate and graduate students. The position requires excellent oral and written communication skills and a willingness to develop collaborations and networks of support within the University, with programs at other institutions, and with law enforcement and crime laboratory professionals.
Qualifications
Preference will be given to candidates with a Ph.D., but must have at least a M.S. in Forensic Science, Criminalistics, or other physical/natural science, and a demonstrated capacity for teaching. The ideal applicant should have experience working in a criminalistics/Forensic Science laboratory (private or government) with a strong foundation in the holistic approach to Forensic Science.
