SalaryThis is the perfect job for someone looking to break into the construction industry. We are looking for an Assistant Woodworker in the Ball Ground, GA (North GA) area. This job is a full time 40 hour/week job starting at $16-17/hr with plenty of room for growth. However, during the months of March-June there will be as many as 55 hours available per week that are optional and overtime hours are paid at 1.5x. No prior skills are necessary as we will train you completely to use saws, nail guns, drills, and sanding equipment. However, prior experience is a plus.
Duties will be building product and helping to finish it so it's polished. You will be assisting in assembling components for the product as well and we will work to train you how to use all sorts of tools.
Our pay period is biweekly and you would be a W2/W4 employee. Hours are 7am-4:00 pm Monday-Friday. An ideal candidate would live in or near the Ball Ground/Canton/Cumming/Jasper area. Prior experience in construction is not required but is a plus. You must have a willingness to learn and a good work ethic and be able to meet production goals after training. Pay and performance go hand in hand. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
