Job Description
The Assistant Warehouse Managerwill work directly with the Logistics and Warehouse Manager to help facilitate communication between the sales, driver, and warehouse teams. They will assist with operating an efficient supply chain. They will coordinate transportation providers to ensure prompt and proper movement of goods.
· Manage inbound freight scheduling and receiving.
· Manage backhaul scheduling and communication.
· Supervise and Coordinate warehouse labor and operations with the Warehouse Manager.
· Coordinate and monitor supply chain operations.
· Ensure resources are effectively utilized.
· Effectively communicate workloads, scheduling, and corresponding gaps.
· Utilize logistics IT to optimize cost and service.
· Supervise orders and arrange stocking raw materials and equipment to ensure they meet needs.
· Communicate with suppliers, customers, and internal partners to ensure service and cost standards.
· Plan and track the shipment of products according to customer requirements.
· Design, maintain, and distribute reporting on key performance areas.
Periodically deliver products to customers and secondary company locations.
Minimum Qualifications (Education, Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities)
· Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
· Logistics and Customer Service experience.
· Knowledge of laws, regulations, and ISO requirements related to freight transportation.
· Ability to work with little supervision and track multiple processes simultaneously.
· Knowledge of computer applications, such as MS Office, and ability to learn new applications.
· Experience organizing and supervising warehouse labor.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
