Fit City Kids is Chicago's premier family fun and fitness center in the city. At Fit City Kids, we combine open play areas, fitness classes and training, and parties and events to create new and unique programming. Our main focus in on children ages 2-12 but we have something for the whole family. As a start-up company, there is endless potential for growth and to have a huge impact on our direction and programs.
Job Summary:
Main duties include assisting in developing and implementing custom curriculum that coincides with the culture and processes of Fit City Kids. We are looking to offer programs for ages 2-12. Keeping the program updated and fresh is vital as we strive to be the industry standard when it comes to youth programs.
Qualifications:
- Must have prior tumbling teaching experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Sports Management, Education or related field preferred.
- CPR/FIRST AID certified
- Management & supervisory experience preferred
- Ability to multi-task and work independently
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
- Self Starter, results driven
- Ability to create and think outside the box
Job Duties:
- Must lead your program with enthusiasm, passion, and positive energy
- Must have patience and empathy with children
- Ensure systems and procedures are in place and implemented daily
- Develop, implement and monitor curriculum, activity plans and special events
- Manage supplies and inventory needs within an outlined budget
- Direct and manage the coaches you hire
- Be present for and lead all your team training and meetings using best practices through Fit City Kids
- Actively promote programs and work directly with marketing team for specific needs
- Must gain a thorough knowledge of Fit City Kids policies and of our Jackrabbit scheduling system
- Must work with managers and other head coaches to increase community outreach, class enrollment, and continued development of our culture.
- Must instill in each athlete a respect for all coaches, equipment, facilities and culture.
- Develop great relationships with all athletes and their family within acceptable boundaries.
