The Goddard School of Flower Mound is accepting applications for Assistant Teachers. Teachers at the Goddard School are responsible for establishing and maintaining a safe, healthy, and nurturing learning environment. Teachers are required to work in conjunction with the entire faculty and under the regulations of the Goddard School standards. Applicants should meet the following requirements.
*Must be able to work 9:00am-6:00pm or 8:00am-5:00pm
Duties:
- Assist the lead teacher in implementing a developmentally appropriate curriculum for preschool or toddler-aged children
- Support the lead teacher in creating engaging and educational lesson plans
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children in a daycare setting
- Collaborate with the lead teacher and other staff members to ensure the well-being and development of each child
- Maintain open communication with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise
- Assist with daily tasks such as mealtime, naptime, and toileting routines
- Help maintain a clean and organized classroom environment
Experience:
- Previous experience working with toddlers or preschool-aged children is preferred
- Knowledge of early childhood development and curriculum development is a plus
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques, particularly for children with special needs, is beneficial
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
