The Point Casino and Hotel is looking for an energetic and capable VGD Assistant System Administrator to join its team!
JOB SUMMARY
The VGD Assistant System Administrator is responsible for the maintenance and development of the VGD gaming network, along with its associated hardware and infrastructure. Assists the Gaming System Administrator with completing projects on various hardware and software systems. Provides user support service.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- TCP/IP network administration & troubleshooting.
- Installation, troubleshoot and repair of copper and fiber optic network media.
- Cisco IOS/IOS-XE command line administration.
- Virtual LAN, NAT, routing, and firewall administration.
- TACACS+ administration.
- Linux systems administration (preferably RPM based).
- Windows Server OS and feature (e.g., AD, DNS, SQL Server) administration.
- Basic electronics troubleshooting.
- Hosted infrastructure deployment (AWS or GCP).
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- BS in Computer Science (or related) or equivalent experience in related work.
- Bash, PowerShell, Python, and/or Perl scripting experience.
- Enterprise-grade hardware experience (servers, SAN, etc.).
- CompTIA A+ certification or the ability to obtain certification within 90 days of being hired. Additional certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Security+, or Cisco CCNA are preferred.
- One to three years of on-the-job experience.
