- Assist, administer and participate in PSM (process safety management), RMP (Risk Management program) and all safety related programs in Refrigeration and any other OSI related training, recordkeeping, employee training and contractor management.
- This position includes a considerable amount of data entry, filing, administration as well as typing. Participating in and with contractor scheduling and documentation relating to our refrigeration programs. process safety and environmental risk management programs.
- Administer and assist with all related refrigeration documentation which will include any refrigeration work orders and PM’s and major expense projects as they are completed. • Create track and maintain action item lists used for Safety, Refrigeration and Training for all of those in participating in this department.
- Assist in scheduling required equipment audits by external auditors; review audit results; implement recommended changes; and document audit process.
- Monitor, track and report on required training programs; PSM and RMP meetings as well as meeting minutes to ensure facility compliance.
- Communicate regularly with Maintenance Manager ensuring that employees are aware of status, progress and scheduling of meetings, refrigeration and safety training.
- Maintain and participate in a safe work environment at all times by following safe work instructions, practices, and procedures in place.
- Ensure compliance with all quality and food safety programs through regular adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s), food safety checks Job Description (HACCP), and quality checks conducted according to organization policies. Actively participate in prevention and correction of quality-related errors.
- Participate in a variety of process improvement, product development, equipment installation, and re-modeling projects as assigned by providing guidance in area of expertise.
- Schedule and assign personnel accordingly to ensure coverage for a seven day a week maintenance department; review, edit and approve employee time cards each week.
- This role has the responsibility to understand and places in practice appropriate safety procedures. This responsibility is achieved through education, training, use of protective equipment (as applicable) and by following safety policies, regulations, standards, and laws.

Required Skills
- 1-3 years of experience in related field is preferred.
- Knowledge of food plant manufacturing including, but not limited to, ammonia refrigeration Osha and EPA.
- Working knowledge of federal, state and local safety and environmental regulations and related operational best practices.
- Ability to multi-task and complete assigned training, documentation, typing, filing and over the course of a year become an expert in Process Safety Management.
- Ability to develop, maintain, and apply analytical tools to moderately complex spreadsheets.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, with peers, management and external contacts.
- Computer skills (including the Microsoft Suite).
Required Experience
• BA/BS or equivalent is preferred
