JOB TITLE: Structural Steel Assistant Superintendent

DEPARTMENT: Operations

Olson Steel is currently collecting application for experienced Assistant Structural Steel Superintendent.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Assistant Structural Steel Superintendent will perform job duties and responsibilities safely, efficiently, and accurately while assisting the plant manager and shop superintendent in work activities for the operations department in Fresno.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assists the operations team by providing input to identify key success factors, timing of fabrication and procurement deliverables.
• Assists with the process of documenting revised drawing releases and ordering revised parts packages.
• Ensuring parts packages have been ordered and processed through our San Leandro facility. Additionally, ordering parts packages through approved vendors for all other parts packages not made in S.L. and tracking on-time delivery of said parts packages.
• Work with the parts department ensuring parts packages are complete and error free. Document parts packages issues/errors and time/value losses.
• Assist in assuring all production work is within project timeframes and continually monitors work progress. The QC travelers will contribute in the documentation of progress.
• Complete projects and other duties as assigned by plant manager & shop superintendent.
• Monitors office personnel, ensuring Olson values and protocols are compliant with our Employee Manual.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school degree
• 3 years of relevant working experience as an Assistant Superintendent
• Being proficient Excel, Word, BlueBeam, Procore, and Fabtrol
• Demonstrates leadership and ability to work well with others
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Detail oriented and willingness to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent multitasking skills, with the ability to perform duties outside of scope of work when necessary
