The Assistant Stylist is responsible for the collection, organization and tracking of seasonal marketing samples for our LOFT and LOFT Outlet Brand within the styling department. This position will serve as a critical role, interfacing cross functionally with Marketing, PR, Creative, Merchandising, Sourcing, and external partners along with assisting the styling team on shoots. The individual in the role must be highly organized, detail oriented, and able to prioritize and multitask. Sense of urgency and a positive attitude is a must.
The impact you can have
Manage, check in, and track all seasonal samples for the LOFT/LOS brands. Work with styling, merchants, and sourcing on tracking key items for the season to prepare for style out.
Maintain full knowledge of LOFT/LOS seasonal production line and be the point person for all sample questions that arise.
Maintain LOFT/LOS sample closet, making sure samples are organized and easily accessible.
Work with styling team on prep and management of the seasonal kick off and style out process. Constantly updating stylists with key item samples to ensure smooth running of the meetings.
Works closely with Associate Manager of Styling and Director of Styling for seasonal Campaign shoots.
Work cross functionally with photo production to find space and set up room for model fittings.
Work with photo production and styling on packing and shipping samples to photoshoots. Making sure to track all outgoing and incoming shipments, either through messenger service or shipping company.
Own pre-shoot and post-shoot deck process for LOFT/ LOS shoots
Work with post-production team on sample sending to retouching houses after shoots are wrapped.
Once season is wrapped, pack samples for charity pick up to optimize sample closet space.
Assist the styling managers and director with any needs during the style out process and shooting.
You’ll bring to the role
BA in Fashion or Art (or equivalent experience and education)
1-2 years’ of retail or fashion experience, required
Must be highly organized and detail oriented.
Strong ability to multi-task
Can-do attitude
A strong team player
Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Google docs
Familiar with Mac software
An interest in growing into a styling career path is preferred

The target hourly pay rate for this role is: $24.00 - $25.00

This position works in a mostly onsite model, with 4-5 days per week worked in our NYC office.
