Position Focus:
Plans, administers, and manages Strength and Conditioning programs for the University’s varsity intercollegiate teams in conjunction with the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach. Assigned varsity teams will consist of softball, women's tennis, and other Olympic sports.
Essential Duties
1. Designs year-long, comprehensive Strength and Conditioning programs for assigned teams to include pre season, in season, post season and off season training cycles. 2. Assists in scheduling, managing and maintenance of three varsity weight rooms. 3. Tests and evaluates student athletes to track progress of program. 4. Meets regularly with coaches and athletic trainers to keep updated on student athletes' status. 5. Supervises and trains student employees.
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Exercise Physiology or a related field and two years of experience in collegiate Strength and Conditioning working in a multi-sport environment including both men's and women's teams or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
Required Skill/Ability 1:
Demonstrated attention to detail.
Preferred Education, Experience and Skills:
Prior experience working with Lacrosse and Field Hockey.
Required Licenses or Certifications
Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (NSCA) and Certified First Aid / CPR
