At Bella's Voice, a non-profit thrift store committed to supporting animals, we are experiencing an exciting period of expansion. We seek a dedicated Assistant Manager to guide our team and operations.
As an Assistant Manager, your primary role will be to oversee the store's day-to-day activities and ensure our customers enjoy their shopping experience. Your responsibilities will extend beyond the shop floor to include team leadership, operational management, and direct contributions to our mission of aiding animals in need.
Your leadership will ensure the efficiency of cashier operations, the effectiveness of product pricing and sorting, and the overall organization of our store.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Lead, mentor, and develop team members while stepping in to fulfill the role of Sales Associate.
- Ensure smooth retail operations by organizing schedules and delegating tasks to team members.
- Establish clear expectations, provide instruction and feedback
- Keep store operations streamlined in the absence of the Manager.
- Address and resolve issues affecting team performance and workplace productivity.
- Give excellent customer service to all patrons and contributors.
- Enhance team efficiency by evaluating employee performance outcomes.
- Uphold a tidy and safe store environment, adhering to health and safety protocols.
- Support a culture of safety by being vigilant and reporting any safety concerns.
Supervisory Roles:
- Fulfill managerial responsibilities per Bellas Voice guidelines and legal standards, including recruitment, training, and direct staff supervision.
- Conduct performance reviews, administer rewards and disciplinary actions, and resolve employment issues, collaborating with Human Resources as necessary.
Job Qualifications:
Successful candidates must demonstrate the ability to perform each critical task satisfactorily. The listed qualifications reflect the necessary competencies:
- Ability to lead and inspire a team focusing on development and productivity.
- Practical problem-solving skills and the capability to provide excellent customer service.
- Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
- Highschool diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of customer service experience
- 1 year of supervisory experience
- Thrift store experience preferred but not required

Schedule:
Weekdays 30/40 hours
Available shifts and compensation: Available shifts all days except Sundays and Saturdays. Compensation is $22.00 - $24.00/hour.
