The Assistant Store Manager (ASM) is accountable for overall performance of the business including assisting the Store Manager (SM) with P/L responsibilities, sales, recruitment, staffing, operations and marketing. The Assistant Store Manager (ASM) should demonstrate a strong focus on customer service, car quality and continuous improvement. Service to the customers is of upmost importance and heavy emphasis will be placed on this criteria based on past references. In addition to major responsibilities mentioned above, the Assistant Store Manager, along with the Store Manager will perform all scheduled maintenance for the car wash equipment and will be accountable to promote and train all employees.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Establish, lead and recognize exceptional customer service
- Provide excellent customer service to ensure customer satisfaction
- Foster a positive work environment that encourages honest dialogue and discussion among employees
- Recruit, screen, and interview new talent and ensure new-hire on-boarding paperwork is properly completed
- Ensure adherence and compliance with all established policies, procedures and processes including COVID protocol
- Motivate car wash team members to achieve their best performance
- Communicate both verbally and in writing with all levels of employees
- Responsible for ensuring a professional appearance and attitude at all times
- Accountable for managing the team through opening, closing and ongoing maintenance of the facility during assigned shift. This includes cash control procedures as part of the point of sale
- Promote sales, manage expenses and maximize profitability
- Accountable for overall performance of the team during assigned shift
- Provide Supervisors and Associates the tools necessary to ensure exceptional customer experiences and interactions through example
- Works with the management team to assess customer complaints and address these with compassion and care. Perform protocol to alleviate damage to vehicles and communicate effectively to senior management on claims
- Provide positive resolutions to challenges and/or concerns from customers
- Maintain a neat, clean and organized overall site appearance at each location
- Other duties as assigned by the District Manager
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- This position will supervise the whole site level staff, Oil Change Techs: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. - High energy candidate that exudes positivity and a fun attitude
- 1+ years of previous management experience
- Knowledge of the Oil Change business and a mechanical aptitude
- Attention to detail with initiative, and little need for direction and the ability to multitask effectively
- Conduct yourself in a consistently positive manner and be a great team player
- Professionalism, honesty, reliability and ethical standards in all situations
- Must maintain reliable transportation
Physical Requirements:
- Required to stand for long periods of time in outside extreme to mild weather elements
- Frequently required to use hand to finger motions and reach with arms and hands,
- Regularly required to lift and/or move items up to 25-50 pounds unassisted

- This position will work at a job site location and be exposed to the weather elements at all times
- Hours of work include, but are not limited to, the hours of operation. Current hours of operation are 7 days a week, 8:00AM-8:00PM
- Evening and weekend hours are required; you must be flexible and able to work a minimum of 40-45 hours a week
