NOW HIRING Assistant Store Leaders across the Chicagoland area. Great opportunity for a management position at a growing, fast paced breakfast and lunch restaurant with locations in Chicago and across the Chicagoland suburbs.

Egg Harbor Café manager’s responsibilities include overseeing daily restaurant operations, maintaining high production and customer service standards, as well as upholding excellent service, quality food, and a welcoming atmosphere. To be successful in this role, you’ll need management skills in both the front and back of the house, which we will teach you through our management training program. We want you to know how to oversee the dining area, check-in with customers, balance seating capacity, creating intentional work schedules, and ensure we comply with health and safety regulations. You will be overseeing a team and we will need to hold them accountable to their job expectations as well as balancing their wellbeing. We will expect you to lead by example and uplift our staff during busy moments in our fast-paced environment. Ultimately, you will ensure our restaurant runs smoothly and customers have pleasant dining experiences.


Responsibilities (not limited to):

  • Lead by example with Egg Harbor values and mission in mind
  • Overseeing daily restaurant operations
  • Deliver superior service and maximize customer satisfaction
  • Respond efficiently and accurately to customer complaints
  • Regularly review product quality
  • Organize and supervise shifts
  • Recognize and praise staff performance and provide coaching and feedback to improve productivity
  • Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations
  • Manager Sanitation Certification will be attained throughout Management Training
  • Manage restaurant’s pleasant atmosphere and suggest ways to improve it
  • Control operational costs and identify measures to improve
  • Promote the brand in the local community through word-of-mouth
  • Train new and current employees on proper customer service practices through our Learning Management Systems
  • Implement policies and protocols to EHC standards
  • Communicate and cascade messages from EHC’s home office and your Regional manager
  • Stay organized and ensure tasks are completed with the right prioritization
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Toast, R365 and Bamboo with onsite training


Requirements:

  • Proven customer service experience and/or leadership experience
  • Full time availability: Weekends and most holidays required. A typical work week is Monday/Tuesday or Wednesday/Thursday as days off. 
  • We are closed on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day
  • Reliability. You will have a team counting on your presence and energy on each workday
  • Attend and participate in weekly leadership team meetings
  • Flexibility and openness to changing situations
  • Ability to make decisions in a timely manner
  • Emotional intelligence: Able to handle stressful situations
