- Assist in the selection, supervision, development, appraisal, counseling, and disciplinary action of departmental associates.
- Overseas the Robe and Key as well as well as Spa therapists and technicians.
- Assists with scheduling of technicians, massage therapists and guest service staff for the spa.
- Assists in running the daily operation of the Spa per pre-established and approved standards.
- Responsible to make sure that all guest billing is correct and that service agents follow resort cashiering standard operating procedures.
- Responsible to assist the SPA Manager to make sure that the SPA retail shop supplies are in accordance with established inventory pars.
- Ensure that all trainees are properly trained in the Spa policies and procedures as well as the use of all equipment.
- Works with the Resort Rooms Division to ensure all guests receive the best service and arrival experience.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested by the Spa Manager.
- Fills in for the Spa manager when on vacation or not scheduled.
- Be available and able to assist in all aspects of operations as needed based on business needs.
- Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
- Perform any other job related duties as assigned.
- High School diploma required, Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Two to three years in a luxury spa operation.
- Should be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Requires the exercise of considerable managerial skill as position involves frequent decisions, meeting of deadlines, negotiation of vendor contracts, analytical ability and the planning, organization development and coordination of large scale work projects.
- Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy to defuse anger and collect accurate information and resolve conflicts.
- Complex mathematical skills and considerable skill in the use of a calculator to prepare complex mathematical calculations without error, i.e. budgets, forecasting.
- Ability to be mobile for significant distances between and within buildings on the property with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to observe performance and detect signs of emergency situations and respond with proper action.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences, such as effectively communicating with supervisors, coworkers, public etc.
