The Assistant Coach is responsible for assisting with various coaching, management, and administrative duties of the Soccer program as assigned by the Head Coach. The Assistant Coach is responsible for conducting any duties or activities with integrity and within the rules of the National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA), the Missouri Valley Conference and/or Missouri Valley Football Conference (MVC or MVFC), the State of Illinois, Illinois State University, and the Athletics Department.
Salary Rate / Pay Rate$40K - $44K
Required Qualifications1. Bachelor’s degree
2. Proven ability to teach and coach fundamentals and advanced skills.
3. Advanced knowledge of techniques and strategies
4. Thorough knowledge of NCAA Recruiting Rules
5. Proven organizational leadership ability.
Master’s Degree
Work HoursThe core work hours of this position are 8:00 am to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday. This position requires work beyond regular office hours.
Functional ExpectationsMust be able to complete the following with or without a reasonable accommodation:
1. Remain at a workstation for extended periods
2. Move about in various locations on and off campus as needed to complete day-to-day work.
3. Effectively communicate on a daily basis.
