Summary:
  • Position:Assistant Site Director.
  • Pay Scale: $17.00-$18.50 per hour (based on experience).
  • Start Date: Sept-Oct.
  • Required Hours: 40 hours per week.
  • Shift Schedule: Morning shifts between 5:15 am - 7:30 am are required at least 3 days a week and afternoon shifts are 5 days a week between 1:15 pm - 6:15 pm. Depending on the site location.
Kids Club 360 is looking for an energetic and passionate Program Lead to work with ages 5-12 within our Licensed Before & After School Kids Club 360 sites, DBA of the Boys & Girls Club of the Pikes Peak Region. Position Overview:

Assistant Site Directors are responsible for supporting Site Directors/Branch Mangers in overall operation of the Site. This includes the supervision of staff and members, maintaining a 1:15 adult to child ratio, administrative duties, licensing requirements and appearance/facility operations of the site.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Manage site staff and/or volunteers to ensure that interactions with members are appropriate and follow Boys & Girls Clubs of the Pikes Peak Region standards of active supervision. Exercise authority in problem relating to members and staff; utilize guidance and discipline training. Submit incident/accident reports daily to the Vice President of Operations as needed. 
  • Conduct/Participate in Site meetings to update staff on organizational information, changes and to discuss staff feedback. Assist in quarterly staff evaluations as needed.  
  • As needed collect, review and approve staff timesheets, vacation requests and absence reports. Submit these to the Vice President of Operations. 
  • Documentation and reporting of average daily attendance (ADA) to the Vice President of Operations. Submit monthly attendance roster to the Finance Dept. 
  • Collect payments from parents, keep record of payments received using receipt book, Vision data, and payment tracker. Input of charges and attendance into Vision. Submit deposits to the Finance Dept. daily. Communicate with both parents and the Finance Dept. regarding past due balances. Submit payment/subsidy tracker and current registered members to the Finance Dept. monthly.  
  • Based on ADAs, submit weekly snack counts to Finance Dept., serve assigned snacks daily within required family style dining, record daily snacks served and submit monthly to Finance Dept. 
  • Assist the Finance Dept. in maintaining subsidy programs such as CCCAP and NACCRRA. Submit CCCAP tapes daily and submit CCCAP claims to the Finance Dept. monthly. Submit all NACCRRA and Military Youth Outreach paperwork to the Finance Dept. 
  • Submit all Parent Financial Responsibility, Universal Signature, Vacation Request and Withdrawal Notice Forms to the Finance Dept. as necessary. 
  • Run assigned programs/activities, document on a weekly basis and submit a monthly site report. Submit supply requests for everyday site functionality and activities if necessary. 
  • Implement and report requested grant-related data per supplied program curriculum, activities, forms and reports. 
  • Organize the site and its inventory weekly. Submit supply requests if necessary. Maintain cleanliness of the site by supervising and assisting staff with daily cleaning checklists. 
  • Conduct new parent tours and orientations at the site as needed. 
  • Manage and assign to staff social media responsibilities including taking photos of daily activities and posting them to approved social media websites. Maintain a current list of photo approved members.
  • Create and maintain relationships with the host school and sustain effective communication regarding recruitment, events, transportation and closures. 
  • Provide transportation as needed during special events via a fifteen passenger van or similar. 
  • Help facilitate organizational, grant-related special events which include some days outside of normal business hours and weekends. Assistant Site Director is notified by the Site Director/Branch Director to which special events attendance is required.
  • Complete training in Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), First Aid (FA), Universal Precautions (UP) and Medication Administration (MA).
  • Perform all other job-related duties as assigned. 
  • Summer Program duties will be assigned and vary.
Supervision Received: 
  • Assistant Site Director report directly to the Site Director.
Supervision Exercised:
  • Assistant Site Directors exercise joint supervision with Group Leaders in regards to the members in order to keep a 1:15 ratio. However, Assistant Site Directors may lead activities as the sole supervisory adult. Boys & Girls Club of the Pikes Peak Region expect all employees to uphold the best judgment and discretion at all times.
Qualifications:
  • Must have one of the following state licensing requirements - a four (4) year college degree with a major such as recreation, education with a specialty in art, elementary or early childhood education, or a subject in the human service field.
  • Two years of college training and six (6) months of satisfactory and verifiable full-time or equivalent part-time, paid or volunteer, experience, since attaining the age of eighteen (18), in the care and supervision of 4 or more children.
  • Three years of satisfactory and verifiable full-time or equivalent part-time, paid or volunteer, experience, in the care and supervision of four (4) or more children. The program director must complete six (6) semester hours, nine (9) quarter hours in course work from a regionally accredited college or university, or forty (40) clock hours of training in course work applicable to school-age children within the first nine (9) months of employment.
  • Must be 25 years or older with a clean driving record. Valid Colorado license.
  • Demonstrate ability in personnel supervision, facilities management, and recruiting and retention of members. 
  • Strong communication skills, in both oral and written.
  • Demonstrate ability in working with young people, parents, schools, and community leaders. 
  • Ability to onsite train, supervise, and motivate staff. 
  • Ability to deal effectively with members including discipline problems. 
  • Eagleside Elementary School - Must be available M-F between 5:30 am - 8:00 am, 2:00 pm-6:00 pm.
  • James Irwin Elementary School A - Must be available M-F between 5:45 am - 7:45 am,  3:00 pm - 6:00 pm.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:
  • Standing and walking for long periods of time, talking, hearing and physical activities such as daily cleaning, leading sport activities and light to moderate carrying duties. 
  • Child care environment with moderate to loud noise. Includes indoor and outdoor.
