Job Summary:
The Assistant Service Manager at International Kia Orland Park will play an integral role in the daily operations of our service department. This individual will work closely with the Service Manager to ensure efficient and high-quality service is provided to our customers. The Assistant Service Manager will have a passion for the auto industry and will be responsible for assisting with managing the service technicians, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction, and maximizing productivity and profitability.

Responsibilities:
- Assist Service Manager in managing a team of service technicians and ensuring all work is completed efficiently and up to company standards
- Oversee daily operations of the service department, including scheduling, parts ordering, and customer service
- Supervise and train service technicians on proper procedures and company protocols
- Develop and maintain relationships with customers to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns or issues
- Ensure service department meets profit and productivity goals set by company
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment for service technicians and customers
- Assist in developing and implementing new processes and procedures to improve service department efficiency
- Keep updated on industry trends and technology advancements, and apply them to the service department
- Handle customer complaints and resolution in a timely and professional manner
- Maintain accurate records and reports on service department operations
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent, college degree preferred
- Minimum of 3 years experience in the auto industry, preferably in a service department
- Experience in a supervisory or leadership role preferred
- Strong technical knowledge of vehicles and their components
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Proficient computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office and experience with service department software
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
