Job Description
- Sales of original fine art and jewelry. This includes but is not limited to in-person sales, phone, and email sales.
- Following up with clients and possible leads by phone or email.
- Maintaining Gallery displays with signage, artist biographies, and general organization and cleaning.
- Packaging smaller artwork and jewelry.
- Assisting with our twice Annual Artist Shows.
- Supervising and guiding the sales team as well as providing incentives to motivate staff to achieve sales targets.
- Monitoring the performance of the sales team.
- Additional projects and duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
- Personable and Friendly! Applicant should love talking to people in person and on the phone.
- Retail or Customer Service experience preferred. The right individual for this position will be business oriented AND sales driven.
- Applicant should love art, however due to a conflict of interest artists themselves should not apply.
- Be physically fit to help move artwork in and out of viewing rooms.
- Applicants must be able to communicate with professionalism, clarity, humor and intelligence.
- This individual should have LOADS of personality, enjoy talking to people, have a fun and friendly personality, maintain a high level of energy, and present a professional appearance and composure.
- Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite. Some experience with Quickbooks and Adobe Photoshop a plus, but not required.
