Job Title: Assistant Kitchen Manager - Green Bay
Job Summary:
The Assistant Kitchen Manager at Parker John's BBQ & Pizza in Green Bay is responsible for overseeing the kitchen staff and kitchen operations, including food preparation, sanitation, storage, and organization of all food and kitchen supplies. As the Assistant Kitchen Manager, you will work to ensure that all food safety and quality standards are met and complied with. You will supervise all kitchen staff and order ingredients/supplies as needed.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
• Supervise kitchen staff and delegate tasks including food preparation, cleanup, and organization
• Ensure all safety procedures related to food preparation, storage, and sanitation are followed
• Monitor food quality throughout the production process
• Develop and maintain weekly scheduling and training plans to maximize productivity
• Develop menus while controlling costs of ingredients and food
• Manage inventory, ordering ingredients and supplies as needed
• Assist with kitchen operations, including dishwashing and general cleaning tasks
• Work with the Head Chef and other managers to plan events/ catering services
• Handle customer complaints and concerns professionally
Required Education/Skills:
• High school diploma/GED required; culinary degree or equivalent educational/experience preferred
• Previous kitchen management experience preferred
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office Suite
• Flexible schedule with ability to work evenings and weekends
