Assistant Regional Engineer (Civil Engineer Trainee)

As a Civil Engineer Trainee, you will participate in a one-year formal and on-the-job training program to learn the duties of a Civil Engineer (General). You will assist other engineers in a variety of duties, such as preparing original designs, visiting project sites, and acquiring permits.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment.
• Work hours are 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
• Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• Four years of Civil Engineering experience, and an Engineer-in-Training certificate issued by or acceptable to the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists; or
• A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, or in a closely related field, which includes or was supplemented by major course work in Civil Engineering; or
• An equivalent combination of experience and training which includes possession of an Engineer-in-Training certificate issued by or acceptable to the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists.
• Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within three months of graduating with a qualifying degree.

Conditions of Employment:

• This position also requires possession of a valid driver's license which is not under suspension.

Other Requirements:

• PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
• You must be able to perform essential job functions.
