This position is covered by IFO Collective Bargaining Agreement. The full salary range for positions under this agreement can be found in Article 11, Section S.  
Salary Minimum $62,260 Salary Maximum $84,705+ DOE Salary Type Annual Bargaining Unit/Plan 209, IFO Job Description
  • Primary responsibilities are to teach in the on campus and in-person undergraduate, prelicensure nursing program in theory, clinical, and lab settings.
  • Instruct courses in varied locations, at varied times, and via various media commensurate with department and university needs.
  • Engage in scholarly research or creative achievement to enhance knowledge of field, provide evidence of continuing preparation and study in the field to enhance teaching abilities .
  • Contribute to curricular and programmatic assessment, evaluation, and continual refinement.
  • Contribute to student growth and development including student advising.
  • Support Minnesota State University Moorhead's strategic priority of creating a campus community that is diverse, inclusive, globally aware, and just.
  • To develop and implement curriculum within a team-teaching model of instruction for a nursing curriculum with emphasis on quality, safety, health, healing, holistic nursing, diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • To be considered for tenure, the successful candidate will need to demonstrate (IFO Article 22, section B) :
    • Ability to teach effectively and/or perform effectively in other current assignments,
    • Scholarly or creative achievement or research,
    • Evidence of continuing preparation and study,
    • Contribution to student growth and development,
    • Service to the university and community.
Required Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Nursing
  • Must meet Higher Learning Commission [HLC] faculty credentialing guidelines [e.g. have 18 graduate credit hours in the discipline the faculty is teaching].
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality teaching and experience with lesson, course, and curriculum development
  • Minimum of three (3) years of Nursing practice experience
  • Effective communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in teaching/working with persons from diverse backgrounds
  • Current unencumbered RN license

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree or higher in Nursing or related field
  • Experience in university teaching in baccalaureate or graduate nursing
  • Experience in teaching nursing education online, hybrid, and on campus
  • Experience in holistic health and healing principles
  • Experience developing and using student-centered, active, and experiential learning strategies, including using a variety of technology and platforms (ie ATI, D2L, Simulation, NGN, Teams, Zoom, Outlook, AI)
  • Experience assessing student academic achievement
  • Experience working with national accreditation and Boards of Nursing
  • Current unencumbered RN license in MN and ND

Other Requirements

  • In accordance with the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities Vehicle Fleet Safety Program, faculty and staff driving on college/university business, who use a rental or state vehicle, shall be required to complete a vehicle Use Agreement form and conform to Minnesota State College and Universities vehicle use criteria and consent to a motor vehicle records check.

MSUM enrolls 4,679 students from 35 states and 42 countries. MSUM is a member of the Tri-College University, an educational consortium that includes Concordia College of Moorhead, North Dakota State University, Minnesota State Community and Technical College, and the North Dakota State College of Science.

THE COMMUNITY
Moorhead, Minn. and Fargo and West Fargo, N.D. are central to a thriving regional center with a population of 249,974 and growing for the Metropolitan Statistical Area.
