Assistant Professor of Construction Management
TheConstruction Management Program at Western New England University (WNE) seeksapplications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professorlevel. The preferred start date is Spring 2024. However, consideration can alsobe given to a start date in Fall 2024. Candidates for this position must have aPh.D. in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, or a closelyrelated field, and must have demonstrated ability or potential for excellencein teaching and research at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Thesuccessful candidate is expected to (1) teach undergraduate and graduate-levelcourses in Construction Management, construction engineering, and relatedcourses, (2) develop and maintain internationally recognized externally fundedresearch, (3) pursue scholarly and service activities, and (4) lead nationaland international student competitions.
PreferredQualifications:
- College-level teaching experience (graduate TA experience acceptable)
- Effective teaching and pedagogy skills appropriate to the position
- Industry experience
- Pursue professional licensure
The Construction Management Department is the newest department within the Collegeof Engineering (COE) and offers Bachelor of Science and Master of Sciencedegrees in Construction Management. The COE offers BS degrees in Civiland Environmental, Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, Computer, and Biomedicalengineering. It also offers MS and PhD degrees in multiple programs.
