JOB DESCRIPTION: To serve the printing needs of the District through efficient and effective management and Printing Department production.
QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent. Knowledge, or willingness to learn how to operate hi-tech copiers and other equipment. Ability to move heavy boxes and work in a standing position for long periods of time. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
SALARY: Twelve-month year, beginning salary Level 29 or as negotiated by the Governing Board, and employee benefits in accordance with Board policies.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Print legally requested materials for all schools and District departments, and monitor requests for copyright violations in accordance with copyright laws and Board policy.
- Schedule printing to meet due dates.
- Compute printing charges for all jobs and report printing charges, by school/department to the Business Office on a monthly basis.
- Manage routine preventative maintenance of equipment; arrange prompt repairs as needed.
- Monitor equipment, leasing agreements, and schedules; and recommend additional or replacement equipment; work with the Business Office on the procurement bidding process at the completion of lease agreements to enter into new lease agreements.
- Recommend cost-effective measures to make the Print Shop operate efficiently.
- Operate the following equipment: hi-tech copiers, color copiers, collator, manual and electric paper cutter, paper folding machine, stapling machine, other equipment in the Print Shop. Complete bindery work. Upkeep/clean machines.
- Outsource jobs that require printing on an offset press, which entails writing printing specs and obtaining verbal and /or written quotes.
- Create purchase orders and order printing supplies to maintain continuous production.
- Inventory paper supply in the Printing Department and District warehouse on a regular basis. Pull the paper from the District warehouse and deliver it to the Printing Department.
- Perform routine clerical tasks such as filing, sending internal correspondence to schools/departments.
- Promote excellent customer service skills, assist with customers, and answer telephones.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
