DEVEREUX GWINNETT PROGRAM
We are excited to announce we have broken ground on a brand new campus! Due to Devereux Georgia's history of success in treating victims since 2009, the State has chosen to use Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health for their newly approved treatment program. The 24-bed program is a Child Caring Institution (Group Home) for victimized females between the ages of 12 and 17.
Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health provides services for children and families to ensure a community without abuse, neglect and abandonment, so all children grow to their full potential. Based out of Lawrenceville, GA, the Assistant Principal is responsible for:
Assisting in overseeing general operations of the school;,serving as the Testing Coordinator for our school overseeing the testing/assessment process to include FAIR, FCAT, and all other state assessments received from multiple states/districts.
Providing supervision and support to new teachers enrolled in the induction program, representingDevereux at BPS monthly meetings for Secondary Assistant Principals and Elementary Assistant Principals, and providing required data entry/signatures for multiple district/state electronic systems (Brevard AS400, LAUSD Welligent, DCPS, California CAIS, etc.)
Supporting the alignment of curriculum to Common Core Standards, quality control for teacher documentation (such as treatment team summaries, educational assessments, etc.), and completing the scoring of educational and behavioral assessments required for IEPs and special education eligibility.
Processing IEP-driven 1:1 logs for revenue and School administrator for day school students, supervising issues that arise from that unique population (buses, treatment team, parent notifications, etc).
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
EDUCATION: Master’s Degree in Education or higher degree.
Must have Leadership Certification or working toward certification
EXPERIENCE: Three to five years experience in an educational setting to include leadership, preferably with individuals with mental disabilities and at-risk youth. Experience as a leader in education

Other Requirements:
Valid Driver's license
Must be able to complete a one week new hire orientation class (Monday - Friday); hours are approximately 9:00am to 5:00pm each day
Successfully pass pre-employment medical screenings which include: Drug Screen, Physical, Physical Abilities Test, TB Test and Influenza Vaccine
Devereux requires all individuals interviewing for a position involving contact with children to complete The Diana Screen, a screening that assesses a candidate’s understanding of appropriate boundaries between adults and children.
