1. Valid New Jersey Principal Certificate required
2. Special Education certificate/endorsement required
3. Demonstrated leadership abilities required
4. Possesses knowledge of curriculum, program, and the skills to implement district
programs
5. Ability to assess district needs and assist with the planning of professional
development for continued growth and success of all staff members
6. Proven ability to identify interventions and accommodations that attend to the needs
of special education students
7. Coordinate the development, implementation and evaluation of instructional
programs or students determined to be in need of Special Education, Basic Skills/RtI
remediation and/or English Language Learner services
8. Coordinate district preparation for state monitoring as related to Special Education,
Basic Skills/RtI improvement and English Language Learners
9. Ensure the high quality of programs for all students within the district
10. Strong interpersonal and communication skills
11. Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal
resident alien status
REPORTS TO: Superintendent / Designee
JOB GOAL:
To oversee the district's services provided to students (ie - Special Education/RtI) while assisting with the administration of district initiatives.
SALARY: Negotiable
*** PLEASE NOTE*** -- This position is an itinerant position. Travel between multiple school site locations is required.
