Assistant Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA)
- Responsible for assisting in implementation and monitoring of the facility Quality Assurance Program
- Reports any significant quality assurance concerns to the Administrator immediately.
- Provides oversight of the facility department managers at the discretion of the Administrator
- Attends QAPI (Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement) and Quality Assurance & Review Meetings.
- Accountable for administrative responsibilities, during the absence of the Administrator, within the facility.
- Participates in job training and development program through the Elderwood organization.
- Assumes administrative responsibility for departments who do not have a department head on a temporary basis.
- May assume responsibilities for other selected departments from time to time with the approval of the Administrator.
- Generate and develop ideas, which improve the quality of care for residents or increase job productivity and satisfaction. Encourage involvement and recognize staff for making exceptional contributions.
- Assures that all staff exhibit the highest level of customer service towards residents, families, visitors and coworkers.
Assistant Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA)
- Bachelor’s Degree, preferably with a major in health or related field, necessary. Master’s Degree preferred.
- Newly licensed Administrator or current Administrator with 1-3 years of Administrator experience preferred.
- Minimum of two years’ experience in management, preferably in a health care setting, required. Long-term care experience strongly preferred.
- Qualities of leadership, dependability, integrity and organizational ability.
- Management skills to supervise staff and carry out assigned functions.
- Ability to communicate well verbally and in writing.
- Ability to relate well with staff at all levels.
- An interest in the field of health care, particularly in the needs of the geriatric population.
