The Opportunity
The Assistant Merchant's primary responsibility is to support the Merchant in assigned category (ies)in maintaining accurate, detailed information necessary for daily business decision-making.

- As an Assistant, you will learn the business, contribute to the idea generation for products, and work with all the different functions within the Frontgate brand.
- You will report to a Merchant.
Your Impact
- You will support the department/category in Strategy and Presentation: Develop an understanding of the connection between financial strategies and related merchandise goals.
- You will be responsible for knowing, understanding, and following all corporate calendar meetings and events for our Merchandising Department.
- You will be involved in Assortment Development: Collaborate with the entire merchant team on cohesive seasonal looks and assortments. Help gather market intelligence with a focus on business opportunities and present insights to merchant leadership. Write copy stories to product details that articulate benefits while highlighting the Frontgate difference.
- Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Merchandising or related field.
- Manage processes and projects.
- You will be collaborative, and able to work with our team.
- You will be proficient in Word, Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets), Outlook, and Internet Explorer. Curious and open to learning.
Remote work is not permitted in NYC at this time.
