Assistant Manager, Partnership Marketing

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

 

The Assistant Manager of Partnership Marketing will be hands-on, managing the day-to-day B2B partnerships and gift card program while supporting the adidas NAM business objectives to promote sales and drive high quality traffic to the website with a clear focus on generating incremental revenue and ROI. This position will utilize gift card industry knowledge and digital marketing expertise. This role will have a primary focus on onboarding new partners, fulfilling internal and external partner inquiries, optimizing our existing gift card program along with collaborating cross-functionally. Additionally, this role be the owner of the NCAA and High School promotional programs, including all operational components including program applications, email lists and processing. Although the role will have a strong relationship focus, analytical thinking and decision-making will still be crucial. 

 

The Assistant Manager of Partnership Marketing will have a primary focus on eCommerce revenue and will also collaborate with brand marketing and business units to fully exploit all opportunities in driving profitable incremental channel growth in the NAM. Together with the broader performance marketing team and the global digital marketing team, this position will help position this team as a NAM based center of excellence, educating and supporting internal stakeholders.

 

Collaboration will extend to global and regional counterparts where you will be expected to contribute to our global best practice guidelines and standards with original input and thought leadership from the key NAM market.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Manage day-to-day operations with partners and networks to meet channel KPI’s
  • Assist in developing the overall B2B partnership and gift card strategy for market and be a key input in the launch of new vendors and marketplaces
  • Manage external agencies and networks and continue to translate overall strategy
  • Proactively look for new relationships to support omni-channel strategy
  • Ownership of the NCAA and High School promotional programs including operations like list management and process fulfillment
  • Manage payment and tracking of the high school promotional program
  • Provide operational support to fulfill promo requests and gift card orders and the day-to-day upkeep of existing campaigns
  • Work closely with the global digital marketing team and B2B managers to share best practices and apply learnings from other markets around the globe
  • Support operationally focused projects from a technical standpoint and serve as a champion for operations in non-operationally focused projects.
  • Maintain platform/ business process monitoring reports/alerts and coordinate fixes with appropriate teams.
  • Be the subject matter expert for front-end tools and technology
  • Plan daily/weekly and quarterly reporting for partnerships and gift cards
  • Manage the improvement of operational processes as they relate to the existing and future vendor direct projects.
  • Manage the expectations of your customers through effective, concise, and fact based communication. 
  • Support during both peak and non-peak times with availability to work night and weekend hours when necessary.

  • Global eCommerce Online Marketing team, Amsterdam (especially partnerships and affiliate marketing team)
  • Giftcard networks, marketplaces and vendors
  • Global IT, Data Protection, etc.

 

Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Abilities:

  • University degree in technical or science focused discipline
  • Experience with Jira/Confluence ticketing systems
  • 1-2 years Digital Marketing or related experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Suite
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience in planning and managing campaigns across multiple strategies
  • Strong leadership capability with a talent for influencing at all levels of the organization (globally, locally, internally and externally)
  • Excellent (written and verbal) communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to build strong relationships quickly as a result of a team-first mentality
  • Strong time management, organizational and prioritization skills
  • Diligence, accuracy, attention to detail and a strong work ethic

 

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree required with 1-3 years hands-on experience
  • Comprehensive understanding of digital infrastructure, including promotional engines, dashboards, and general digital marketing
  • Advanced computer skills with proven Excel experience
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
  • English language fluency
