At Sweet Nel’s, we serve premium, organic ice cream using milk and cream sourced from Pennsylvania and Delaware organic dairy farms, premise-made gelatos, gourmet coffees, and a variety of bakery items.

Sweet Nel’s managers are responsible for coordinating and participating in all day to day operations, and support and lead all team members during the shift. You are responsible for inventory and stocking of products both in front and back of the house, ensuring products are made properly and consistently, and hiring and training new employees. Above all, your primary responsibility every day will be to develop and coach our team members and ensure our customers have unparalleled experiences
Duties
- Help create and implement strategies to achieve sales and profit goals
- Ensure efficient food production and service
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback
- Train and supervise staff members
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow
- Manage inventory and order supplies as needed
- Monitor and enforce compliance with health and safety regulations
- 1-2 years previous management experience required; in a Coffee/bakery/ice cream shop preferred.
- Physical: Applicants must be able to stand on your feet for long periods and have no wrist or back issues in order to perform this job. You also must be able to lift 25 pounds without difficulty.
- Cognitive: Ability to read, speak and understand English.
- Knowledge of food production, coffee preparation, and POS systems
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holiday
