The Assistant Security Manager assists in the supervision of the security department. Schedules Team Members and assigns tasks. Being an Assistant Security Shift Manager goes on patrol and assists the department in ensuring that the property is secure and safe for all visitors and Team Members.

Primary Job Duties - Includes, but is not limited to:
- Verify shift personnel are clocked in and ready to work and clocked out at the end of the shift.
- Verify the key and radio logs at the beginning of the shift.
- Confirm all special assignments are being worked on and are completed.
- Confirm Security Supervisors are completing their projects.
- Review all reports prior to the end of your shift.
- Confirm all equipment is accounted for prior to the end of your shift.
- Walk the floor to confirm personnel are in place.
- Coordinate any operations that are not completed with the outgoing shift.
- Teach the new hire training classes when needed.
- Perform the functions of the Security Shift Manager when needed.
- Brief the Security Shift Manager on all information provided by the Security Supervisors and Security Officers.
- Obtain and maintain position-specific licensing.
- Use personal device/cellular phone for job related operational tasks, job duties, review of company documents, etc.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required:
- At least four years of previous experience in Security, law enforcement, military or in a similar or related field.
- At least two years of previous Security management experience in a similar or related field.
- Working knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel).
- Ability to successfully complete a physical agility test.
- Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
- Ability to effectively communicate in English.
- Polished appearance and demeanor.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules and regulations, policies and procedures.
- Ability to successfully mentor a team.
- At least 21 years of age.

- Previous experience working in large, luxury resort setting.
