Looking for an Assistant Manager in a fast-paced, high-traffic Market and Restaurant in Avila Beach, CA.
Qualifications:
- Must have a minimum of 2 years Restaurant Management experience with a high level of problem solving skills. You will be responsible for the smooth running of the day to day business.
- Must know how to read a P&L and understand the basics of managing COGS, labor costs, and food costs.
- Must understand the basics of inventory, ordering and receiving.
- Must know how to read an invoice.
- Must be comfortable reprimanding employees and handling customer complaints.
- Must be a team player with outstanding leadership skills. We are a small business, which makes our team very tight knit. It is important to us to find the right person who is an extraordinary team player who is always willing to step up and help out where they are needed.
- Must be able to hustle. At times our store and restaurant gets extremely busy, and every member of staff works every position, when needed. As a manager you will be taking out the trash, clearing tables, working the cash register, stocking the shelves, etc.
- Must be flexible with your availability. You will be expected to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
We are a start-up and in the early stages of building our business, which means there are bumps in the road. The ideal candidate will be able to go with the flow and stay focused on the big picture we are working toward.
Pay starts at $25 hourly plus tips and a free shift meal.
