As an Assistant Manager in the Aviation Maintenance department, you will support the Conveyor Shop Manager and provide direction to the Conveyor Shop and Baggage Operations Systems Specialist team in the operation of the Baggage Handling System and facilitate baggage handling operational needs between multiple Port departments (union and non-union), stakeholders, customers, and agencies.
- You will provide direction, leadership and quality decision making to ensure continued
operations and provide leadership during system interruptions. - You will lead, manage, coach, and mentor Baggage Operations Systems Specialist to ensure employee engagement and professional development.
- You will set direction and purpose for the Baggage Operations Systems Specialist team and individuals to ensure that programs are aligned in approach and strategic direction.
- You will lead and communicate with stakeholders as necessary for Baggage Handling System operations.
- You will coordinate activities, procurement, and scheduling efforts to ensure operational readiness and customer satisfaction.
- You will assist in contractor and vendor management, writing justification memos, payroll, procurement, and audit documentation activities.
- Experienced - You have five (5) years' experience in operations or maintenance with staff supervision in a large complex facility.
- Educated - You possess a High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Desired - We hope you have a bachelor's degree and seven (7) years' experience in airport/airline operations or baggage systems experience.
