Overview:
The Assistant Maintenance Supervisor will assist managing and coordinating activities that ensures the upkeep, inventory, and grounds in an efficient manner, as well as work as part of the team to complete all maintenance duties.

Candidate must demonstrate leadership skills, top notch technical skills and a commitment to provide quality service for residents.


Our maintenance team must be capable of troubleshooting and making repairs in areas such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool, minor carpentry, dry wall, minor exterior repairs and appliances. You will also assist in scheduling and supervising all in-house and/or vendor work. You will share on-call with other team members.


What You’ll Do:

  • Responsible for the continuous safe operations and preventive maintenance throughout the property
  • Responsible for keeping maintenance shop clean and organized
  • Maintains all tools, Golf carts, equipment, and supplies in proper condition daily
  • Responsible for maintaining designated grounds area while assisting in areas that may need extra attention
  • Assist in pool upkeep which includes maintaining it clean, testing chemicals, chemical treatments, and maintaining pool log
  • Assist in documenting in light log for non-functioning light poles
  • Assist in the distribution of work orders amongst technicians
  • Respond to work order requests and office calls in a timely manner
  • Must properly document work orders with detailed notes, follow up on pending work orders, close out completed work orders daily, and seek approval on calling outside vendors, if deemed necessary
  • Perform repairs (basic electrical, mechanical, basic plumbing, basic carpentry, etc.), touch up paint, install household fixtures, routine preventative maintenance as needed
  • EPA Type I & II and CPO Certifications
  • Diagnose HVAC issues and perform repairs, i.e., read gauges, install freon, capacitors, transformers, thermostats, etc.
  • Assist in scheduling vendors as needed
  • Assist in the make Ready board process (Physical and electronic)
  • Assist in placing orders for supplies
  • Assist office staff with walking move-outs/vacant units, which includes taking pictures for documentation
  • Assist in rekeying locks
  • In the absence of your direct supervisor, you are given the liberty to delegate and operate as needed, with Property Manager approval
  • Willing to share the on-call schedule
  • Follow on call policies in place
  • Assist technicians in any task deemed difficult
  • Must maintain leadership quality, great communication and open-door policy with staff
  • Must perform at your highest level of professionalism

What You’ll Need:

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program, preferably in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Strong writing and editing skills with impeccable grammar and attention to detail.
  • Creativity and ability to think outside the box to develop unique and engaging content ideas.
  • Basic understanding of SEO principles and content optimization techniques.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and best practices for content distribution.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Experience with content management systems (CMS) and/or social media management tools is a plus.

This is a hands-on role.
