Assistant It Manager

About Us:

VVS is a dynamic and innovative Food Service company dedicated to providing on-site and remote IT solutions. We are seeking a proactive and hands-on Assistant IT Manager to actively lead and work alongside our field engineers, ensuring the successful execution of on-site projects, delivering top-notch technical solutions, and implementing training initiatives.

Responsibilities:

1. Designing and Implementing Network Infrastructure:

   - Proven ability to design and implement a local area network

   - Manage logistics of designing a network in a customer owned facility

   - Demonstrate excellent Customer Service skills working directly with external clients.

2. On-site Project Leadership:

   - Lead and actively participate in on-site projects, providing technical expertise and guidance to field engineers.

   - Ensure the successful implementation and completion of projects within specified timelines.

3. Hands-on Technical Support:

   - Work alongside field engineers to troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware and software issues.

   - Demonstrate technical prowess in the installation, maintenance, and optimization of IT systems.

4. Team Collaboration:

   - Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture among field engineers, promoting knowledge sharing and teamwork.

   - Actively contribute to team discussions, sharing insights and best practices for effective problem-solving.

5. Technical Documentation:

   - Maintain comprehensive documentation of on-site activities, configurations, and issue resolutions.

   - Contribute to the development of field-specific best practices and knowledge base.

6. Client Interaction:

   - Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring exceptional on-site support and service.

   - Communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical personnel.

1. Bachelor's degree or relevant certifications in Information Technology or a related field.

2. Proven experience in a hands-on field engineering role, demonstrating technical leadership.

3. Strong technical proficiency in hardware and software troubleshooting.

4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective client interactions.

5. Ability to lead and collaborate with a field engineering team effectively.

6. Experience in developing and implementing training programs.

7. Excellent driving record.

8. Must be able to physically work including climbing a ladder and moving inventory.

9. Must be willing to do some travel - 4-5 days per month away.
