The Assistant Executive Housekeeper / Assistant Housekeeping Manager is responsible for assisting in the oversight of the entire housekeeping area, to include public areas and night cleaning. This requires a solid understanding of housekeeping and laundry supplies and pars and will assure all safety and security policies and procedures are followed. In addition, the Assistant Executive Housekeeper will promote an atmosphere that ensures customer and colleague satisfaction. This position reports directly to the Executive Housekeeper and requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to effectively deal with guests, other departments and team members.

Responsibilities include:

  • Plans and organizes the cleaning of all guests' rooms and public areas.
  • Provides daily cleaning assignments to room attendants.
  • Addresses colleague issues in conjunction with the Executive Housekeeper.
  • Manages staffing fluctuations.
  • Ensures that all housekeeping colleagues have been thoroughly trained and are consistently following service standards and procedures.
  • Inspects cleanliness of all hotel rooms and public areas.
  • Provides current and prospective colleagues with information about company policies and job duties. Performs difficult staffing duties, including dealing with understaffing, resolving disputes, and assistance in administering disciplinary procedures.
  • Effectively communicates with the front desk to update the room status and any delays when necessary.
  • Trains and develops colleagues
  • Provides support to Executive Housekeeper in the delivery of incentives and programs that promote positive colleague relations.
  • Provides support to Executive Housekeeper to ensure that guest satisfaction scores meet or exceed brand benchmarks.
  • Performs any other duties as requested.

The budgeted salary range for this position is $58,000-65,000. Actual pay will be commensurate with experience.
