We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Assistant Golf Course Superintendent to join our team and help maintain the impeccable condition of our Golf Course.
Job Overview: As the Assistant Golf Course Superintendent at Beechmont Country Club, you will play a crucial role in the day-to-day operations of our Golf Course maintenance department. You will work closely with the Golf Course Superintendent to ensure that the Golf Course is consistently maintained to the highest standards, providing members with an outstanding playing experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning and implementing all aspects of Golf Course maintenance, including mowing, fertilization, irrigation, pest control, and bunker maintenance.
- Supervise and lead a team of groundskeepers and seasonal staff, providing guidance, training, and support.
- Monitor and manage equipment maintenance, ensuring that all equipment is in good working order and properly maintained.
- Implement and oversee irrigation and water management programs.
- Collaborate with the Golf Course Superintendent to develop and execute short-term and long-term maintenance plans.
- Help in budgeting and cost control for the maintenance department.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and environmental standards.
- Participate in the development of a positive and inclusive work culture within the team.
- Work closely with the Golf Course Superintendent to assist in various projects and initiatives related to course improvement and development.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in Golf Course maintenance or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of Golf Course maintenance practices, agronomy, and turf management.
- Previous supervisory experience is a plus.
- An understanding of Golf Course irrigation systems and equipment.
- Knowledge of local environmental regulations and safety standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, outdoor environment.
- A passion for golf and a commitment to providing an exceptional golfing experience.
- Interest in manual labor, being outdoors in every weather condition.
