Position: DPHS Assistant Football Coach - 3 Position OpenDate: 3/13/24 Posting ID:23-329Location: Deer Park High School Overview/Purpose:To provide knowledge, motivation, and leadership in an activity in which the student can excel to full potential while competing in an atmosphere that adds to total education including physical well-being, moral character, and social and mental development. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:To organize his/her program so that it is consistent with the district and school philosophy, goals and objectives. To be familiar with and follow the policies and procedures in the coaches handbook.To be responsible for the supervision of the students at all times when they are under his/her direction until they are dismissed from the building.

The coach is the last one out.To organize, direct, and supervise all practice sessions, team meetings, contests and out of town trips.To protect the liability of the staff, the school and the district through proper instruction, equipment inspection and safety warnings. To follow district safety guidelines.To display mature conduct at all practices and games. To exercise sound and discretionary judgment relative to the direction of the team, both on and off the competition area.To assume any other responsibilities as assigned.
