Assistant Fleet Manager - Amazon Delivery Service Partner

MBB Delivery LLC is a multi-station Amazon Delivery Service Partner (DSP) looking for an Assistant Fleet Manager. The Assistant Fleet Manager is a pivotal role in our team, overseeing the company's fleet of Amazon branded and unbranded vehicles. Ensuring the safe, efficient, and optimal operation of our fleet is paramount to the successful daily operations and achieving company objectives. This role reports directly to the Fleet Manager and will work in tandem with the Operations Manager to uphold the Fleet Program.

Duties include, but are not limited to:
· Maintenance & Service: Oversee routine and thorough fleet maintenance to ensure vehicle safety and efficiency. This includes monthly Preventative Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS) on all vehicles.
· Coordination & Supervision of Third-Party Vendors: Assign and monitor fleet tasks ensuring they are completed timely and accurately.
· Communication: Collaborate closely with the Operations team to ensure services or body work by third parties do not hinder the Company's operations. Use platforms like Chime and Hera for centralized communication on fleet tasks based on input from drivers, dispatch, Amazon, and management.
· Compliance & Standards: Ensure the fleet's compliance with Amazon safety and maintenance standards. Address and resolve fleet maintenance and safety concerns.
· Operational Support: Assist the Operations team with fleet-related equipment issues. This includes on-road services, emergency maintenance, and more.
· Third-Party Vendor Management: Nurture vendor relationships for services, tires, and parts.
· Cost Efficiency: Strategize on methods to decrease costs and improve operational efficiency.
· Records & Documentation: Maintain and manage service records for all vehicle work. Assist with fleet record keeping and ensure proper documentation of services.
· Additional Tasks: Perform other tasks, including but not limited to basic maintenance such as replacing light bulbs, rotating tires, fluid checks, and more.

Requirements for this job include, but are not limited to:
· Previous experience in fleet management or a related field.
· Knowledge of Amazon's fleet and safety standards is a plus.
· Strong communication and leadership skills.
· Ability to multitask and handle high-stress situations effectively.
· Always represent the company in a professional, positive, and polite manner.
· Be prepared to work under varying weather conditions.
