Job Description
The Capital Area Council of Governments (CAPCOG) is seeking an Assistant Finance Director to support the agency’s Finance Division. The Assistant Finance Director will provide a wide array of services to the Finance Division and the agency, with a special focus on budget and grant reporting. An ideal candidate has considerable experience in government or large nonprofit accounting, with a broad understanding of agency financial systems and grants. Preference for candidates with credentials as either a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Government Financial Manager.

Experience: Five years’ experience in accounting and financial operations; experience with grants and contracts, government accounting, and computerized accounting applications
Education: Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in accounting. Education and experience may be substituted for one another depending on qualifications.
Pay range: $75,000 – $90,000, depending on qualifications; $40/month cell phone stipend.
