Elliott Homes, LLC is seeking a highly motivated, team player for the position of an Assistant Field Manager to work in the Mississippi Gulf Coast region. You will be part of a dynamic, progressive homebuilding company, specializing in new home construction.
 
The Assistant Field Manager will assist in managing new home builds within a community, delivering quality homes from start to finish. You will work and train alongside our Field Managers, with the goal of completing your training program to advance into the Field Manager role.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Learn what goes into the planning, scheduling, implementation & coordination of quality-built homes from development through final construction on a timely & economical basis.
  • Learn and understand all activity checklists and application expectations.
  • Learn how to use the schedule to communicate with trades. Assist in managing subcontractors and sub-contractor relationships to build homes on schedule.
  • Learn and understand how SWPPP works.
  • Maintain safe, clean and compliant job sites.
  • Create VPO’s on site when necessary and communicate problems to the Purchasing team.  
  • Conduct weekly meetings with sales team and home buyers to ensure buyers are up-to-day on the progress of the home.
  • Follow the thorough Quality Inspection process and ensure the home is 100% complete prior to closing.
  • Learn and conduct Orientation and Celebration meetings with buyers. 
  • Conduct Primary and Anniversary Inspection meetings with buyers, 60 days and 1-year post closing, and schedule correction visits as needed. 
  • Ensure trades show up for correction visits and obtain sign offs from buyers once complete. 
  • Attend daily team huddles and weekly team training sessions. 
  • Assist Field Manager with any and all other items as needed.  
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • A degree in Construction Management is preferred. 
  • A minimum of 1+ years of directly related experience in the home building industry is preferred.
  • Experience in scheduling, ordering materials, supervision, quality control and production for all phases of construction.
  • Possess comprehensive computer knowledge, specifically using an iPad. 
  • Knowledge of construction practices and terminology. 
  • Strong sense of urgency, and desire to learn and grow. 
  • Excellent follow-up and clear communication skills, both written and oral. 
  • Strong organizational skills to manage dozens of tasks for multiple projects at a time. 
  • Consistency with daily processes and procedures.
  • Accountability toward obtaining metrics.
  • Urgency to complete tasks and checklists without direction. 
  • A clear driving record and your town transportation with the flexibility to drive to different worksite locations daily throughout this region.
