The Michelle Martin Group is a leading provider of comprehensive workforce solutions, connecting talented professionals with exceptional opportunities. Our client, a Federal integrator, is seeking an experienced and dedicated Assistant Facility Security Officer to join their team.
As an Assistant Facility Security Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the organization's compliance with maintaining the highest standards of security. This position involves working on-site, collaborating with various teams, and contributing to the overall success of the organization.
**Must have an active Top Secret Clearance**

Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement processes to comply with our clients Special Security Agreement.
- Support recruiting, operations, acquisition, and business development teams to achieve business objectives.
- Conduct self-inspections per NISS, identify vulnerabilities, and assess risks.
- Recommend security measures to improve protection of personnel, activities, and facilities.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and training for protecting classified information.
- Support the Facility Security Officer (FSO) in managing personnel and Facility Security clearances.
- Respond to alarms, handle badge processing, visitor control, and perform physical security management.
- Perform security functions in accordance with NISPOM and Intelligence Community standards.
- Mitigate Foreign Ownership Control and Influence (FOCI) using established policies and procedures.
- Utilize government applications and databases such as SWFT, eQIP, NISS, DISS & NBIS.
- Complete all Government-mandated training.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience of 5+ years in Industrial Security.
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills; ability to interact with C-suite level personnel.
- Energetic and focused with a demonstrated ability to take initiative and prioritize multiple assignments.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and office management technology.
- Professional, articulate, and able to use good independent judgment and discretion.
- Highly effective collaborator with the ability to build strong relationships internally.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented management environment while focused on results.
- Must complete CDSE FSO Program Management and Insider Threat Awareness within 6 months of hire.
- Candidate must be a United States citizen.
- Must have and maintain an active Top Secret (TS) DoD security clearance.
Preferred:
- Experience in FOCI-mitigated environment, Safeguarding, Physical Security, and Insider Threat.
