Assistant Estimator

JJWelch Construction is a seven-generation owned construction manager/builder diverse portfolio with a portfolio that includes new construction, renovation and restoration projects. The industries we service consist of commercial, restaurant, retail, institutional and multi-use. We are seeking an experience Assistant Estimator with a positive attitude to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

• Read, interpret, and understand contract drawings and specifications, as well as review of project manuals and bid package information
• Attend pre-bid meetings, etc
• Develop RFI's for submission to Architect
• Developing self-performed scopes and reviewing with Sr. Estimator
• Reviewing design options and recommending best solution
• Upholding company image with stakeholders and all project team members, clients, vendors, subs, etc
• Solicitation of subcontractor pricing
• Procure permits

Required Knowledge & Skills

• 1-3 years of estimating experience in the construction industry
• ·Strong computer skills using Microsoft Office, Procore and BuildingConnected
• Must be an organized self-starter, possess a strong work ethic, strong organizational and interpersonal skills
• Good attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• ·Excellent communication skills both written and oral
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
