Assistant Editor, Mpls.st.paul

Mpls.St.Paul Magazine seeks an enthusiastic, efficient, problem-solving Assistant Editor who is interested in developing and creating content across multiple platforms. The Assistant Editor plays an active role working with the overall content team on a wide range of projects and helping plan and create both editorial and branded/sponsored content for the print magazine, mspmag.com, social media channels, and e-newsletters.

This individual should be able to:

• Write and edit with a savvy lifestyle tone for print and digital assignments

• Work in a fast-paced environment with staff and freelancers to meet deadlines consistently

• Research and pitch ideas and efficiently fact check and update work produced by the team

• Think creatively about branded content - ways to bring our editorial voice and storytelling to client projects such as special sections and sponsored articles for print and digital

• Ensure editorial integrity with all content projects and sales-related campaigns

• Understand how to use social media from the voice of a lifestyle magazine to amplify content

• Juggle multiple projects with quick turnaround

• Be highly organized and able to project manage

• Take initiative and follow instructions and directives
