The Chemung County District Attorney’s Office is seeking a full-time Assistant District Attorney, for an immediate hire. This position would include practice in front of the Elmira City and Chemung County Courts as well as several of the 14 justice courts.

The unique size of this office maximizes the impact of each individual attorney. The position allows the attorneys to engage fully with all aspects of criminal practice and experience a diverse and fulfilling career in government.

Candidates should be admitted to the New York State Bar or pending admission to the bar, or pending results of the New York State Bar Examination.

Starting Salary for an entry level Assistant District Attorney without experience is $77,250 and increases progressively through a County Step Program.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $77,250.00 - $91,670.00 per year
