Summary
The position is responsible for assisting in all aspects of Recruiting prospective student-athletes to the University of Michigan Football program. Reporting directly to the Director of Recruiting, the employee will adhere to all NCAA rules and regulations and fall under the ultimate supervision of the Head Football Coach.
Responsibilities*
- Assist in the identification, evaluation and recruitment of prospective student-athletes
- Oversee the creation and prioritization of Watch Lists for all members of the Coaching Staff
- In cooperation with the Director of On-Campus Recruiting, organize the scheduling and logistics of all official and unofficial visits of prospective student athletes
- Organize applicable recruiting information as determined by the Head Coach, General Manager, Director of Player Personnel, Director of Recruiting and other football staff members
- Maintain and update the Recruiting Database with accurate, up-to-date information for all prospective student-athletes and high schools
- Assist Coaching Staff in the planning and execution of all Off-Campus Recruiting Travel
- Assist in all on-campus recruiting activities to include campus and facility tours
- Facilitate communication and correspondence plans for prospective student-athletes
- Assist in all game day recruiting activities
- Oversee the organization and execution of all institutional summer football camps
- Adhere to all department and university policies and procedures, as well as rules, regulations, bylaws and interpretations of the Big Ten Conference and NCAA
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications*
- Bachelor degree required
- Recruiting experience at the collegiate level
- Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail
- Must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Must have a service-oriented attitude
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines and work effectively with frequent interruptions
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and solutions focused approach to challenges and improvements
- Demonstrated ability to utilize good judgment in the interpretation and application of policies and procedures and to exercise discretion in confidential matters is essential.
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite, Concur, M-Pathways, calendaring and email systems.
- Knowledge of and commitment to NCAA Division I Rules and Regulations as well as Big Ten bylaws
