Baton Rouge Community College (BRCC) seeks to fill the position of Assistant Director of Enrollment Management. The Assistant Director of Enrollment Management is located in the Enrollment Management Department. This is a full-time position.

Director of Enrollment Management
COMPENSATION:

Required Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Higher Education, Student Services, Education, Business, or related academic field.
Required Experience:
  • Three (3) years of experience in higher education administration, recruitment, admissions, or marketing at an institution of Higher Education.
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Advanced
  • Excellent communication and listening abilities: persuasive and negotiation skills, strong professional writing, public speaking, interpersonal and public relations skills.
  • Leadership, project management, and planning capabilities.
  • Ability to represent the organization in a professional manner.
  • Ability to gather and collect data and build Excel reports.
  • Ability to think "outside the box" and to lead and manage change in a positive and inclusive manner.
Proficient:
  • Customer service skills combined with a strong work ethic and a self-motivated approach toward achieving consistent results.
  • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with students, staff, faculty and the public
  • Ability to work effectively with an ethnic, cultural and socially diverse student population
  • Ability to maintain confidential and highly sensitive student information.
  • Ability to multi-task and deliver work product under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to collaborate with other professionals on projects and tasks.

Preferred Qualifications
  • PhD in Higher Education Student Services, Education, Business, or a related academic field.
Preferred Experience
  • Five (5) or more years of experience in higher education administration, recruitment, admissions, or marketing at an institution of Higher Education.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Knowledge and skill in the use of BANNER
  • Experience with direct marketing and lead generation

The Assistant Director of Enrollment Management will assist the Director of Enrollment Management with developing, implementing and following through with BRCC's strategic Enrollment Management plan. The Assistant Director aids with College activities that lead to the achievement of reaching the strategic enrollment goals. Specifically, the Assistant Director will be responsible for developing, implementing and managing communications and events.
35% Leadership/Strategy
  • Manages the Recruitment and Outreach Specialist
  • Support the Recruitment and Outreach Specialist with events and all recruitment efforts
  • Provides input to strategically maximize effectiveness of programs/events with available resources.
  • Collaborates with colleagues in a professional manner to provide advice and feedback necessary to maintain consistency in all enrollment programs and departmental functions.
  • Provides input to develop budgets and maintains accurate accounting to expenditures related to enrollment projects.
  • Manages the College's call center to ensure effective communication is collectively being shared.
  • Implements strategies for holistic communication College wide.
30% Admissions/Recruitment
  • Supports the Director within Enrollment Management to meet institutional enrollment goals.
  • Develops and align recruitment strategies, including online, in-person, and hybrid formats with the College's strategic goals.
  • Creates communications and communication plans for current and prospective students.
  • Manages the communications that are being sent to students College wide.
  • Works with Marketing and Communications to develop communications and create marketing material
  • Increases visibility of BRCC throughout the community
  • Develops partnerships with area schools and other external groups
  • Motivates and facilitate the involvement of all faculty and staff in the recruitment process.
  • Creates a process that keeps all constituents informed about recruitment events and opportunities
  • Develops reports that provide recruitment data, progress, and challenges.
15% Retention
  • Assists in the implementation of Enrollment process, strategy, and onboarding of new and transfer students.
  • Works with the Director to develop and implement the retention strategy and process
  • Creates communication plans as intervention and follow-up with families and students
  • Works with the Director of Enrollment Management to develop strategies to align retention initiatives with enrollment goals and objectives.
15% Data Collection/Reporting
  • Maintains report/schedule of recruitment events
  • Assists Director of Enrollment Management with developing enrollment reports by capturing student data in order to deliver current and accurate information in support of goal attainment.
  • Creates and maintains reports that generate data on point-of-contact activities and student conversion from prospect to enrolled.
  • Generates reports and conducts data analysis to evaluate effectiveness of activities and recruitment efforts.
  • Contributes data and findings to help coordinate all recruitment events
  • Collaborates with Director of Enrollment Management to provide reports from inquiries to enrollments for each of the academic programs as requested
